Whenever a discussion begins about smartphone glasses. First of all we think of corning gorilla glass and after that any name comes into our mind. And after that perhaps Dragontrail and others.
Today people care there smartphones more than themselves. They keep their smartphone as an infant child. They also take care of its screen. People uses screen guards to protect its screen from scratches and cracking.
So the smartphone companies started to provide inbuilt screen guards. Gorilla glass and dragontrail glasses are most popular these days.
These glasses are basically more tough and scratch resistant. These glasses are no doubt can tolerate much scratch but can also shatter. So never keep in mind that these glasses are a shatter free solution.
I am going to make a clear and easily understandable differences between different protective glasses.

Gorilla Glass:

An American company called corning prepares Gorilla Glass in different versions. This company started its journey from lightbulb glass and now it is one of the most prominent companies in the field of all type of glass preparation.Gorilla glass is also a kind of glass which is more compact and toughened.
It is an alkali aluminosilicate glass toughened enough to resist scratch. It is very much harder, light weight, thin and compact as compared to other glasses. After it was used in Iphone other companies also started giving this glass with their devices. Now it used at large scale to protect the laptop, smartphone, tablet screens.
It comes into different versions like GG 2, GG 2.5, GG 3, GG 4 and the latest one is GG 5.With the increase in its version its hardness as well as transparency also increases.

Dragontrail:

It is also an alkali-aluminosilicate glass.A Japanese company manufactures Dragontrail glass. The name of the company is Asahi. It is considered more resistant to scratch than GG 2.It can tolerate a load of weight about 60 kg.But in drop test it could not compare well with Gorilla Glass 3.Flipkart’s Billion capture+ phone comes with this protective glass.

Sapphire Glass:

sapphire glass                                                                             Macworld UK
Actually it is not a glass rather a man made sapphire. It is prepared from aluminium oxide under high pressure and temperature. It is much more harder than Gorilla Glass and Dagontrail. But it has its own disadvantage of transmitting 6% less light as well as heavier.Although sapphire glass is more harder than Gorilla Glass and Dragontrail still more prone to shatter(fragile).

My opinion:

No doubt Dragontrail and Gorilla Glass are less harder than Sapphire Glass.Sapphire Glass is very much harder than Dragontrail and Gorilla Glass but it is very much prone to shatter. And it also transmits 6% less light. So prefer devices with GG and Dragontrail. After applying these glasses on your device always keep in mind that these glasses can only protect your device from scratches and not from breakable damages.

  • First off I would like to say great blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to
ask if you do not mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your head prior to writing.
I have had trouble clearing my mind in getting my ideas out.
I truly do take pleasure in writing but it just seems
like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be lost simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or hints?
    Cheers! http://xyzolmaleenhancement.net/
